August Blog
Hello again to all my faithful ‘blog readers’ what a fantastic month it’s been in August (with the exception of the weather for most of the month). The flyers seem to have worked and the interest in the Tuk has been phenomenal. This has led onto us now having completed some real tours with customers and we have also started to receive feedback on Trip Advisor. This is a new thing to me but what feedback it is! It might not be many but (they are genuine) and have rated us 5*
First we had a lovely family from Dorset who took a half day tour and luckily the weather stayed dry with a bit of sunshine and they seemed to enjoy every minute, as did I. The next tour was the first Cream Tea Express and I took a real punt on the weather with this and had a high tea delivered en-route which was taken picnic style. I used one of many secret locations and it went down a treat. It was that good that I had to have a high tea myself and it was great mixing in with the group of Canadian tourists that had chosen me to take them round our beautiful Cotswolds. A special thank you to you all for choosing Cotswold Tuk Tuk Tours!
I’m all for supporting other local businesses and I chose Mrs D’s Vintage Teas to supply the high tea, and what a choice it was. It’s run by two lovely ladies Annette and Sadie who supplied absolutely everything including all the crockery and even the hot water but it’s the service to me that counts and they were just so personable and genuine. It was a first picnic style delivery for them as well and it couldn’t have worked out nicer. Hopefully it is the start of a great working relationship for two local businesses.
This weekend is proving to a bit of a disappointment as I planned to have some drone footage of the Tuk along with another of those high teas but unfortunately due to the great British weather this has had to be put on hold!
Anyway as the nights draw in we are just deciding on when to garage Rick. The current thinking is that we not run any kind of tour from November - February. I might have to get a real job for 4 months – any offers?
The Tuk will be available for one off specials during this time and we will be back full of confidence and new ideas in the spring so watch out for us.
The blogs will continue through the autumn and winter with our main push being to hopefully sell gift vouchers for the Cream / High Tea Express along with vouchers for a full day tour. What a Christmas present for that hard-to-buy-for person!
More and more people seem have started waving so please keep it up.
Chris
