Cotswold Tuk Tuk Tours October 2018 Blog

As the nights start to draw in we are getting ever closer to the first full Tuk Tuk season nearing completion. It’s been a whirlwind this year thinking back nearly seven months to that very first tour of the season on April 11th when two very lovely people Kevin & Jennifer visited the Cotswolds to celebrate Jennifer’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately the weather was not with us - I always remember Kevin, a very keen photographer, up the top of Broadway Tower where his camera would simply not focus on anything due to the fog! Little did I know at that point the type of summer that we were destined for!

There have been 60 tours, proms, promotional events & weddings this year all with a range of weather from dry and reasonable to flipping hot! I have been so lucky with the weather with only one tour and one wedding laden with heavy and persistent rain… luckily the rain covers came in very handy.

It’s been an extremely busy end to the normal season and I have a couple of early November tours have been confirmed and I am even looking at the option of a couple of shorter tours in December. Also we have another wedding for Rick in early November and another event at Cowley Manor at the end of the month.

I am so excited for the 2019 season where several weddings and tours have already been booked. The first tour is planned for March 4th, so an early start to the spring season. There will be a special momento for the actual 100th job that we complete.

What makes me a little sad is the amount of jobs that I have had to turn down due to being already booked so I would like to say a real heartfelt apology to all those people that I have had to disappoint. As we have previously communicated as busy as it gets there is no planned expansion to the business, it’s going to stay small, very personable and totally unique. Based on this year I really do expect to be massively busy next year so if you have a date in mind for any occasion don’t leave it as you may well be disappointed.

We have got some ideas for new stops on the tours for next year so keep your eye on the website and Instagram in the coming months to be the first to be updated. Remember the Tuk Tuk is such a unique gift voucher, why not book as a Christmas present?

As always check out the website for all the details of everything on offer! Join us on Instagram and Facebook and don’t forget to keep waving or give me a beep!
