Cotswold Tuk Tuk Tours March Blog
Hello again doesn’t time fly, now it is the start of Spring I thought it was about time to give an update on the current situation of Cotswold Tuk Tuk Tours. It’s been a monumental month as the wedding hire side of the business gets ever closer to be launched at the end of the month and I look forward with anticipation to my first booking soon!
March has also seen the website launched along with Facebook and Instagram. These are all now live but all are still in their infancy so please be patient as they develop over the coming weeks. The website is however now updated with a dedicated page on hiring the Tuk Tuk for your wedding, explaining what you can expect on your special day along with the pricing and T&C’s.
But the big news of the month is my successful application for a private hire licence for Rick the Tuk Tuk. It will still take a number of weeks for further checks and paperwork, but I really need to say a big thank you to the Cotswold District Licensing committee who have put their trust in me and on the 20th March agreed to issue me with a private hire license especially for the Tuk Tuk. This will enable me to fulfil my dream of doing tours around the Cotswolds in the Tuk Tuk. It was a very emotional day which included me taking committee members for a trip around Cirencester so they could get a real feel for what they were making a decision on. Of course I didn’t charge them for the trip!
On the point of the website, I know it is lacking in pictures and this is mainly down to the good old British weather which is lacking any sunshine at the moment. As today is Mother’s Day, next year the plan is to do a very special trip out for that very special mum so if you are interested in that then get in first as it will be a one off unique experience.
As a family we have taken advantage of owning the Tuk Tuk and had a trial run on the cream tea express. With this we have struck up an initial interest with one of our favourite tea rooms where they serve an excellent cream tea (delicious warm scones) and for hungry people there’s an afternoon tea: sandwich of your choice, followed by a piece of cake then a cream tea all washed down with a pot of tea. This would all be included in the cream tea express along with a very scenic tour on both the outward and return journeys. For next month expect a lot more pictures and full details of when the cream tour express will be launched along with the pricing as we plan to do it again just to make sure! There will also be an update on special one off events planned for the year and a brief insight into the half and full day tours which will be coming soon after.
For now join us on Instagram and Facebook, then in the near future let me transport you on your big day or join me on one of the many planned tours for later this spring and summer.
And don’t forget to give me a wave if you see me!
